The SOPC is very excited to announce the 2015 Southern Ohio Pastors Conference, The Sufficiency of Scripture in the Life of the Pastor.

Location:  Tabernacle Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Ohio

Schedule:

8:00 am – 9:00 am – Registration & breakfast (provided)

9:00 am – 9:15 am – Welcome & Opening Prayer

9:15 am – 10:05 am – Plenary Session 1: The Sufficiency of Scripture

10:10 am – 10:55 am – Breakout Session 1*

11:05 am – 11:50 pm – Breakout Session 2*

11:50 am – 12:50 pm – Lunch (provided)

12:50 pm – 1:00 pm – A Word From Our Sponsor: Praises Family Books and Gifts

1:00 pm – 1:50 pm – Plenary Session 2: Sufficiency Put to the Test

1:55 pm – 2:55 pm – Panel Discussion

* The two breakout topics are The Role of Prayer in the Life of the Pastor and The Pastor’s Pursuit of Godliness. Each topic will be taught during both breakout sessions and all attendees will get to attend both topics.

Keynote Speaker

pastorBrad Brandt is the pastor at Wheelersburg Baptist Church in Wheelersburg, Ohio. He received his biblical training from Cedarville University (B.A.), Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary (M. Div. Pastoral Studies; Th. M. Old Testament Studies), and Grace Seminary (D. Min.). He is also a certified counselor and teaching fellow for the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC).

Brad will be teaching in both plenary sessions.

Breakout Speakers

easter34John Gowdy is the senior pastor at Temple Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Ohio. He received his biblical training from Tennessee Temple University (B.A.) and Trinity Seminary (M. Min. Pastoral Administration), as well as a business administration degree from Ohio University (B.A.).

John will be teaching the breakout session entitled The Pastor’s Pursuit of Godliness.

Jay Wise is the reference librarian at Indiana Wesleyan University in Columbus, Ohio and is an ordained pastor in the Wesleyan Church serving as a member at First Wesleyan in Chillicothe, Ohio. He received his biblical training from Asbury Theological Seminary and Wesley Seminary (M. Div.), as well as history degrees from the Ohio University (B.A., M.A.) and a library science degree from Kent State University (MLIS).

Jay will be teaching the breakout session entitled The Role of Prayer in the Life of the Pastor.
